Amidst humiliating political scandals (e.g. Kavanaugh) Women are unionizing.


While the authorities are threatening to roll back workers and social rights, hundreds of pop-up groups, citizen groups & organizations led by women in great great majority, spurred into action.


These gatherings reinforce personal connections that speed proactive local engagement. (e.g. Nasty Women, Women’s March, Indivisible, Sister District, Run for Something, Ac6on Together, Swing Lem ...)


Organizing phone canvases, door knocking, conferences, town-hall meetings, round-tables, women are meeting to talk, share and empower girls to take their place and tackle important societal issues.


86% of the calls to congress come from women, 70% of that have sprung out of democratic groups are women (source: CBS)

Women are flooding into politics targeting legislative and local elections, using their stories to connect to their audience. More than 500 women ran for major offiice in the November 2018 Mid-Term elections. Women candidates have broken the records for the number of candidates for governor, U.S. House and U.S. Senate.


The U.S. House of Representatives elected a record number of women, with at least 90 women expected to make their way to Washington, D.C. in January.


The new faces of Congress

The 19 successful women in Harris county. Erica Hughes, who was elected to a criminal court position, wrote: ‘We want to turn Harris county upside down.’ They campaigned together under the slogan “Black Girl Magic” with the support of the Harris county Democratic Party.
